Delete your PLAI account
GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) · 7-day cancellation window
Last updated: May 12, 2026
1. How account deletion works
Account deletion happens in three steps:
- Step 1: Sign in to your PLAI account and confirm the deletion request from the in-app or web settings.
- Step 2: We mark your account for deletion and start a 7-day cancellation window. During this period your profile is hidden from other users, and you may cancel the request at any time.
- Step 3: After 7 days, your account and personal data are permanently erased from our systems unless you cancel the request.
2. What gets deleted
After the 7-day window expires, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile: name, photo, bio, gender, birthdate, sports preferences, and contact information
- Your location data, both precise and coarse
- All posts, comments, ratings, reviews, and other content you created
- Your direct and group chat messages
- Your push notification tokens and registered devices
- Your analytics events linked to your account
3. What is retained
A limited set of data is retained for legal or aggregate reasons. Where retained, it is anonymized so it can no longer be linked back to you:
- Payment records (anonymized): retained to comply with applicable tax and accounting obligations.
- Aggregate platform statistics: no personally identifying information is retained.
4. Request deletion
To start the deletion process, sign in and confirm the request. You can cancel the request at any time during the 7-day window.
